Day 2: Love is kind

And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you. Ephesians 4:32 (Psst…this is a good verse to have your kids memorize! We know it by heart over here.)

TODAY’S DARE

In addition to saying nothing negative to your spouse again today, do at least one unexpected gesture as an act of kindness.

Edited: Note to those participating, whatever you do, DO NOT complain about your husband’s random act of kindness for today. For example, DO NOT say “That was your act of kindness?” with a weird look on your face. For the record, his act of kindness was totally a nice thing, I’d just built it up in my head all day and no one could’ve lived up to it. That’s where the “don’t say anything negative” rule should have kicked in. Sorry honey…I’d like to make a public apology.

The Love Dare is a 40-day challenge for husbands and wives to understand and practice unconditional love. You can do it as a couple, or if your marriage is in trouble, do it as an individual, for your marriage, out of obedience to Christ. Each day has a challenging lesson on love, followed by a ‘dare’ for the day, and space to journal how it went. For more information visit Fireproof My Marriage

I would ask for you all to pray for us as we embark on this journey, and let me know if I can pray for you as well. Click here to start from Day 1!

If you’re participating in The Love Dare, I would love to hear from you! Add your link to our McLinky so we can all pray for each other!
