As part of my K4 add on’s I am having my daughter do some beginning reading. I posted these awhile back with different animals, but here they are with my Letter of the Week themes.

For each consonant we practice reading the blends with each vowel. We also add another consonant on the end to make small CVC (consonant-vowel-consonant) words using magnetic alphabet letters.

    1. I currently teach at a private Christian school and use the Abeka K-4 curriculum. It is a new curriuclum for me, so these blend ladders will really help! I am going to use them at my Language Arts Center after gluing them on cardstock and laminating. Does anyone have any ideas for games using the blend ladders? I like the curriuculum, but it can be very repetitive!!
