Hi everyone! After publishing my K4 Handwriting Worksheets (manuscript) I had a ton of requests for Cursive Handwriting Worksheets. It took me a bit to get them completed, but here they are!

As usual, you can print on copy paper and have students write with pencil on the sheets, or you can also print on copy paper, then laminate or stick inside a page protector and allow them to use them with Expo Dry-Erase markers! That way they’re re-usable and you can practice your sheets as many times as needed!

The line spacing for these sheets should be appropriate for kindergarten, first , or second graders who are just starting with cursive handwriting skills.

Each letter includes capital and lowercase letter practice. The first letter has arrows to help students properly form the letters, and the rest are simply dashed font for them to trace. Then the bottom line is blank with only the starting dot so they can practice writing the letters on their own! Enjoy!

  1. These are awesome! What great timing too! When my oldest daughter was in Kindergarten, I just taught manuscript handwriting, but now that she’s in first grade I want her to start recognizing cursive. Thanks a million!

  2. What is the recommendation for starting cursive. I have a seven year old boy who despises handwriting. He was taught D’Nealian at public school last year. He has nice penmanship when he tries but it’s a protest to get him to write anything. He’s very active, hands-on and visual. We don’t do a separate handwriting curriculum now–I just make him do his best when he writes out his bible verses, spelling and language arts. Just curious. LOVE LOVE your site 🙂

  5. Thank you so much for having this website for people like me who is counting on the school teacher to do most of the teaching. This helps me to just print them out and while I’m cooking he can practice. Thank you Thank you YOU are a Godsend!
