Hi everyone! I wanted Tinker Bell to do a little more work on her sight words, so I made these Pre-Primer Kindergarten Sight Word Sentence worksheets. Each one has the word along with a funny sentence. Students will practice tracing the word, reading the word, then writing it on their own.

They’ll also cut out the letters and spell the word correctly to complete their sentence, great for fine-motor skills and spelling practice! Next they will write the word to complete the sentence.

Finally they will make up their own sentence using their newly learned sight word! The repetition along with the variety of activities really helps students remember their sight words!

This download includes 40 Pre-Primer level sight words from the Dolch sight word list.

  2. I happen to google Sight Words for Kindergarteners to assist a Pre-K, K teacher who does not have access to a computer in a digital age of tech. I was happy to see not just sight words but a vast amount of other word and reading activities. This was truly a blessings and just want to express a word of thanks. The use of tech and the internet today should not give any teacher excuses for not being prepared for academic development. Thank you, Patricia

  3. Your worksheets have been so helpful. Thank you so much for sharing them. I have been teaching first grade and up but this is my first year in kindergarten. I have been using your worksheets as practice with my nephew who will be entering kindergarten this year with me. He is quickly learning to read. I have combined your sight word sentences with the sight word search worksheets. I have also added a unscramble section instead of rewriting the sentence. It has helped him identify and read! Your website has helped us both to prepare for this new school year. Thank you so much!!!

  4. Hello! I love you site! The high frequency word cut and paste is great. I have something very similar, and we now have a new reading program in my first grade classroom. Is it possible that you would be willing to share you blank template with me?

    THank you!
