Hi everyone! Today I have a treat for anyone looking for less stress, more sleep, and a restored passion for life.

So I’ll just assume that probably includes everyone on this planet.

With the exception of our cat.

He has no stress.

Unless you count moving from the bed, to a sunlit spot, and back to the bed again in the evening.

But technically he’s not a person…so…

For the rest of you all reading this post, today I’m talking about Crystal Paine’s new book “Say Goodbye to Survival Mode”. In her new book Crystal shares some much needed practical ideas to help you get a big picture perspective to help you live your life on purpose!

In Say Goodbye to Survival Mode, you’ll find both practical ideas and big-picture perspective that will inspire you to live life on purpose. As a wife, mother of three, and founder of the wildly successful blog MoneySavingMom.com, Crystal Paine has walked the road from barely surviving to living with intention.

With the warmth and candor of a dear friend, she shares what she’s learned along the way, helping you:

  • feel healthier and more energetic by setting priorities and boundaries
  • eliminate stress with savvy management of your time, money, and home
  • get more done by setting realistic goals and embracing discipline
  • rediscover your passions—and the confidence to pursue them

Packed with straightforward solutions you’ll use today and inspirational stories you’ll remember for years, Say Goodbye to Survival Mode is a must for any woman who’s ever longed for the freedom to enjoy life, not just survive it.

My Thoughts…

With our recent move, and then the holidays following I really haven’t had time to do much of anything. Especially not read a book that might help me get a grip on managing my time right? But I finally picked it up, and man I wish I’d done that about 2 months ago when I first got it! It would’ve saved me quite a bit of holiday stress, and helped me get back on track for 2014.

But…like they say, there’s no time like the present right!

One of my favorite parts of this book is that Cyrstal not only shares her experiences, but each section is followed up by a step by step list of ideas you can implement to make changes to your life.

And I’m a “list girl”.

Give me a task list and I can do that!

Give me a bunch of “theoretical concepts” and bam, not a darn thing gets done!

One of my favorite chapter titles is “If You Aim at Nothing, You’ll Hit it Every Time”.  Cyrstal starts off all of her chapters in this book with great quotes, and this one was my favorite. Probably because it’s how I feel all the time LOL!

CAT” Where are you going?

ALICE” Which way should I go?

CAT that depends on where you are going.

ALICE” I don’t know.

CAT: Then it doesn’t matter which way you go.

~ Lewis Carroll, Alice in Wonderland
