Good morning readers! I hope you’re having a beautiful fall day like we are today! I love the cool air, and am excited to be in a comfy sweater, my favorite jeans, and flip-flops.

Yes, I said flip-flops. For those of you who don’t know, in Colorado, we like to wear flip-flops unless it’s snowing.

Literally.

And with the coming of a new month, it’s time for another monthly meal plan for you all! I actually veered from my plan the last few months but I’m getting back on track this month since we’ve been eating what seems like the same thing over and over due to lack of creativity on my part!

A little planning can do a lot for the budget, and help keep people from whining about my meals. So here we go!

Download the 2014 November Monthly Meal Plan:

If you haven’t already used this before, you can click on any of the underlined menu items to get to the recipe.

I like to shop once a week, so I just make a list off of my menu plan and head to the store. I find that I spend less when I shop off of a list, then flying by the seat of my pants. I also end up with ingredients that will actually go together instead of a bunch of random items that don’t amount to anything.

  1. I was married in Colorado, but never knew that you guys loved your flip flops so much! And with a sweater and jeans? My toes would be freezing:) I’ve been using ideas from your meal plans for quite some time now and haven’t ever taken the chance to say thank you! I know a ton of work goes into writing posts and planning your meals out and am really thankful that you are so gracious to share them with us. Have a great weekend!

  2. Good Morning,

I stumbled upon your website this past week and it has helped me a lot. How do you meal plan for a month??? I have a family of 5. I home school my 14 yr. old who is a national tennis player so that plays a big part in our lifestyle as well. I also homeschool my 6 yr. old…both of them are following a K12 curriculum. I also have a 3 yr old and I babysit my 4 yr old niece I desperately need a schedule for them both. Meal planning and a schedule is much needed for our family. Along with house hold duties I find my time getting away from me. My husband gets home between 5-5:30 and just like you I try to have the house a place of peace when he enters. Any suggestions are helpful. Keep doing what your doing. May God continue to guide you.

    1. Hi Toya,
I just sat down and created a menu of meals that we all like and then tried to spread them out so we weren’t eating the same type of meal everyday. I shop once a week though, usually on weekend b/c that’s the only time I have the time to go. I do have a daily schedule post that might help you out too:

And I also have a chapter on time management in my Homeschooling 101 book:

I hope that helps, please email me if you have any other questions!
