Christmas Cheer Stocking Tutorial

Hi everyone! Today I’ll be showing you how to make your own unique Christmas stockings! They’re super easy and beginner friendly and would make a great addition to your Christmas decorations this year as well as a great gift for the holidays!

Just fill your stocking with some goodies and you’re all set!

Basic Stocking Fabric Requirements:

  • Outside fabric: 1/2 yard
  • Lining Fabric: 1/2 yard
  • Fusible Fleece or Batting: 1/2 yard
  • Cuff/Toe Fabric: 1 Fat Quarter
  • Optional: 505 Fabric Adhesive Spray
  • Optional: Embroidery floss, needle

Finished stocking size approx. 21” h x 8” w

    How big is the piece of material for the cuff? I used a fat quarter and it’s way too big.

    I enjoyed the tutorial so much! Thank you for the pattern. Your instructions are very clear and easy to understand. CAN you please tell me what adorable newsprint fabric you used? I saw that it had Michigan on it and I am from Michigan. I would really enjoy using that fabric for the stocking..

      Hi! Yes, it was from Sweetwater Fabric, I believe it’s from their Hometown Christmas collection.

    I have been searching for a stocking pattern I like. Some of them have an odd shape. Then I remembered that your patterns are always so easy to follow and checked to see if you had one. I’m so glad you did! It’s cute! Now I need to go make 3 stockings!
