Hi everyone! Today I have another fun literature classic for you, The Time Machine Unit Study! Hope you enjoy! Story Summary: The Time Machine tells the story of an anxious scientist who discovers how to travel through time. He starts in London in 1895 and travels all the way to the year 802701! Here he encounters quite a variety of interesting new people, places, and things that both excite and startle him. Is the new paradise of the future as good as it seems? World Geography Unit Study: Peru

Hola! We’re back today with another Expedition Earth World Geography unit study for you! This week we’re focusing on Peru. Did you know that Peru’s Macchu Pichu was named one of the New Seven Wonders of the World in 2007, along with the Great Wall of China and the Taj Mahal? That was just one of the cool things we learned about this week. Anne of Green Gables Unit Study & Lapbook

Hi everyone! I have a new literature unit to add to our collection! Today I’m sharing my new Anne of Green Gables Unit Study and Lapbook. Hope you enjoy!   Story Summary: Anne is a sweet, imaginative, and charismatic young orphan girl who is unexpectedly adopted by a family in Green Gables. The story follows Anne as she experiences the pains and joys of becoming part of a family. And her life growing up in the remote Canadian village of Avonlea. This accompanying unit study is meant to be used with the Classic Starts Anne of Green Gables version as retold from the Lucy Maud Montgomery original. The Classic Start versions are find them a little easier for younger readers, but you could certainly use this unit study with the original version if you have an older student. World Geography Unit Study: Panama

Hola and welcome back to another world geography trip down memory lane! This week we’re reviewing the beautiful country of Panama! As usual, we started off by locating Panama on our World Map.   Here are some of the activities we did this week along with things I managed to capture on film! Learned to say “Hello” in Spanish: Hola (hello) , “Thank You” : gracias Locate Panama and capital Panama City on the wall map Prayed for the people of Panama Geography from A-Z pg 22 Gulf, Pg 25 Isthmus Learned about the Panama Canal, did you know the average toll for a ship to pass through the Panama Canal is $56,000! Hope you enjoy!   Story Summary: King Arthur and His Knights is the tale of Camelot and the mystical land filled with knights and wizards. In this version students will read how King Arthur came to power, and all about the adventures of his Knights of the Round Table as they battle their way across the forests and islands they call home. World Geography: Brazil Unit Study

Hi everyone and Oi! Welcome to our world geography unit study on Brazil, we had so much fun with this week, and my kids absolute favorite was the rain forest diorama craft that accompanied this unit! Here are some more of the things we covered this week: Located Brazil & the Atlantic Ocean on the map and completed our worksheet How to say “Hello” in Portuguese – Oi’! Prayed for the Brazilian people Read Children Just Like Me Book Made Brigadeiros (Yummy chocolate balls) Completed a lapbook activity Learned about and classified 6 animals of Brazil Geography from A-Z Vocab: jungle, River, Meander Living World Encyclopedia: Learned all about the rain Forest Created an awesome Rain Forest diorama! The Wind in the Willows Unit Study

Hi everyone! I have a brand new Classic Literature Unit Study for you today!   Introducing The Wind in the Willows Unit Study & Lapbook The Wind in the Willows is a cute story about Toad, mole, Rat, and Badger, four great pals who live in the country. Students reading this story will join along in a fun adventure where the friends set out on an adventure, get into mischief, come up with inventive schemes of getting  out of said trouble, defend one another, and share an enduring friendship that rises above species!   For this unit I am using the Classic Starts The Wind in the Willows version. I find the Classic Starts a little easier for younger readers, but you could certainly use this unit with the original version if you have an older student.
