FINISHING:

  • Fold the crochet panel in half so the short edges line up. Join with a SL ST. Continue to join the raw ends using a SL ST in each stitch along the short edge. Cut yarn leaving an 8” tail. Yarn over and pull the tail through the loop. Pull tight to secure.
  • On one end of your tube, weave the tail yarn through the stitches along the edge of the open end, and pull tight to cinch the end closed. Pull yarn inside the ornament and tie a knot to secure it. Cut yarn tail.
  • Place the ball ornament inside the crochet ornament, weave the tail through the stitches along the edge of your open end and pull to cinch the end closed around the ornament top. Tie a knot to secure. Cut yarn tail. Replace ornament top.
  • Add a 10” piece of ribbon or twine to the top of the ornament for a hanger.
  • Embellish as desired.
  • OPTIONAL FINISHING: Instead of a ball ornament, you can use pillow stuffing to fill your ornament! Close one end as shown in the video, then stuff your ornament with pillow stuffing. Close the top end completely. Use the tail on one end as your hanger to hang it on the tree!
