2012 Blog Post Planner

plannerpromo1.jpg

I’ve been scouring the internet for some kind of blog post planner to help me organize my posts, ideas, reviews, giveaways. And I mean, it had to be pretty right? Sadly I haven’t found one that has exactly what I’m after, so I made one and wanted to share it with any of you out there looking for a planner too! Introducing the 2012 Blog Post Planner! Monthly Planner Page One: Each month has a different color scheme and two information pages with it. The first page is a month layout. The dates are listed along the left side of the sheet, then there is room for the Topic or Title of your post, and Category/Tag (In Blogger, these are called Labels).  Next to that are little check boxes to note if the post is a review and/or giveaway. There is also a winner box so that I can check that once my winner is selected and an email has been sent to them along with a post created. That way I won’t forget to pick my winners!   Next are social media check boxes, one … [Read more...]

Downloading from 4-Shared

Hi everyone, I wanted to take a quick moment to talk about downloading my Printable Materials. I’ve had several questions and some issues from you all saying that you can’t get the files downloaded and that’s no good! First, I want to mention that you do NOT have to sign up for a paid account with 4share in order to receive my printables! Of course they’ll advertise for that and try to get you to sign up, but don’t be fooled in to that! Download instructions: When you click on one of my download links it will bring you to the www.4shared.com  site. Then you click the BIG BLUE button that says “Download Now”. You have to wait for the little countdown clock to get to zero and where the clock is it will turn into another link that says “Download file now”. Once the countdown clock is finished, the area that says “Your download link will appear after wait” will turn into a link that says “Download File Now”. Click on that link. You should get a gray … [Read more...]

How to Back Up your Blogger Blog!

Why is it important to backup your blog? Well, imagine all those sweet little pictures and posts disappearing right before your eyes due to a glitch in your blogs server! (Note: this tutorial is for Blogger Blogs) Confessions of a Homeschooler has become the complete journal of our homeschooling journey and proof that we actually do something other than eat bon-bons and watch soaps all day. So at this point, the thought of my blog getting accidentally deleted would cause me to curl up in a ball in the corner of the closet and cry. Which would immediately result in my children sticking their fingers under the door in an attempt to reach me while at the same time trying to talk to me through the bottom crack and no one wants that. So how do I backup my blog? Here’s a list of ways to give yourself some comfort and security that all your precious posts, and the cool navbar that took you 3 days to complete won’t disappear in a puff of smoke. 1.
