Trip Clip Review & Giveaway

I recently had the privilege of reviewing a super fun idea from The Trip Clip! These cute little clipboards are so fun and handy! We keep ours in the car and the kids can play educational games every time we get in to go! Their activities include Crosswords, Coloring Pages, Hangman, Sudoku for kids, Travel Bing (this was my families favorite) and many more! There’s even a kid based shopping list so they can have something to do at the grocery store. Each clipboard comes with a fun 4-color pen that includes blue, red, green, and black ink. What’s the Cost: $19.95 and once you purchase the clipboard you’ll get full access to their downloads so you can print anything your kids like. One thing that surprised me was the size of the clipboard. It is only 6x9 so it was smaller than I’d originally thought, but since we’ve been keeping them in the car I think they’re actually the perfect size. It is made of sturdy plastic material and includes a velcro dot on the board and pen … [Read more...]

TEACH Magazine: Newsletter Review

Hello Ladies! (And gentlemen, are there any men out there reading? I never know…) Today I have the pleasure of reviewing the Encouraging Moments newsletter. Now, first off I want to say that I try to be careful how many things I subscribe to. Since starting this blog, my email can be so out of control it makes me want to climb in a hole and pretend my powers out! So needless to say, I don’t need a lot of email cluttering up my inbox. I try to keep my emails cleaned out so I can see all the wonderful nuggets of wisdom, suggestions, and encouragement that I get from you all! Have I told you that I love you lately? I do! So what’d I think when I was asked to review a newsletter from Encouraging Moments? Sorry, but I really thought to myself, ugh…another email coming in…no time…can barely handle current email load…please...help…me. But as always I’m pleasantly surprised by this awesome ministry! Is it a ministry? If not, it should be! Last time I reviewed the True … [Read more...]

Jesse Bear Activities and Lapbook

Jesse Bear, What Will You Wear? by Nancy White Carlstrom We love Jesse Bear at our house and I wanted to share some of the activities we’ve done to go along with this sweet little book! Craft: We made a cute little dress up bear awhile back and I thought it would be perfect for this activity so we got him back out. It’s simply a bear printed out on brown cardstock then laminated. I put Velcro dots on his body then cutout clothes from colorful felt. It’s easy to dress him as you just stick them on! Here is a cute paper bear we found at Danielle’s Place (Edited: Sorry, looks like she removed the free Bear Printables!): Lapbook: We made this cute lapbook for our study this week as well. You can find all of these printables for this lapbook on Homeschool Share. Find the bear: One of our favorite games was the find the bear activity. I hid the little bears all over the room and she had to find them. Although it was too simple for her, but she really had a good … [Read more...]

Make the Date Calendar Printable

Awhile back I shared a Make the Date Calendar printable post from another blog. That blog has since gone away, so a kind reader made a new one for me to share with you! It’s just a fun workbox addition that can be used to help with counting money, tally marks, learning the weekdays and place value! Click here to download! In the Tally Box: Have your child make the appropriate number of tally marks for the date, so if it is the 15th they would make 3 sets of 5 slashes.Make The Date Calendar: Have your student write the days on the calendar template. So if today is the 23rd and the 1st of the month started on Monday, write a "1" in the box under Monday then continue writing the numbers until they get to 23. What Coins make Today? Have your student put the correct coins to equal today's date, so if today is the 10th, they could use 1 dime, 10 pennies, or 2 nickels.Ten's & One's: Have your child write the correct number of 10's and 1's in today's date, so for example if it is the … [Read more...]
