Wikki Stix Alphabet Cards: Letter I
Letter I Tracing: I laminate this and use with Expo Dry Erase Markers for pre-writing practice skills.
Letter Ii Do-A-Dot Page: We use Do-a-Dot Art Markers with this!
Large Floor Numbers: We spread these on the floor, then i call out a number and she hops to it. Or we’ll put them in random order and she’ll hop to them in order. You can also do a hopscotch pattern with them and have them say each number as they hop to it (this works in random order or numerical order).
Letter I Scavenger Hunt, fill your box with things that start with I!
Ii poking page: I found this fun idea on Activity Mom. Instead of tracing, we are going to use a toothpick, or we have these cute Oversized Push Pins, to poke holes through the paper in the shape of the letter. Print on regular paper for easier poking, and do this one on carpet 🙂 Another idea would be to hole punch along the lines of the letter as well. Both work on motor skills!
Inchworm pattern activity: Great pre-math skills!
Inchworm Numbers Practice: I laminate this and use dry-erase to practice number writing.
Inchworm Magnet page: I use it with pom-pom magnets, or these little round ones from Amazon: Power Magnets, 0.78 inch Diameter, Assorted Colors.
Inchworm Lacing Card: I laminate this one for durability, then hole punch every inch or so and use a colored shoestring for lacing practice. Teach them different patterns like going up through the bottom each time, or in-out-in-out etc!
Inchworm Graphing Skills: I laminate these, cut out the cards and hole punch in the upper left corner, then bind with a key ring. Then I have her color in the correct amount of bars, or you could also put little beans, buttons, cheerios etc. on the graph as well! Click here to download!
Inchworm coloring! You can also use Do-a-Dot Art Markers with this!
Inchworm Bottle cap letter matching: These worksheets are meant to be used with the accompanying letter disks, Click here to see the process of making the letters. If you’re looking for more challenge, give this game to your kindergartner as a capital/lowercase matching game by using the uppercase card with the lowercase letter disks or visa versa! Click here to download both upper and lowercase letters! Click here to download inchworm card and letters!
Capital and lowercase letter sorting game: Use the attached worms to sort between capital and lowercase I and i.
Inchworm Counting: You can do a couple of things with this one, use the worms as clip cards and have them put the correct number of clothes pins or paper clips on the worms. Or have them count the holes eaten from each leaf and match them to the worm with the correct number on it.
Letter I i lacing cards, great for motor skills and pre-sewing as well, teach them different patterns like going up through the bottom each time, or in-out-in-out etc! Download my A-Z lacing letters here! I laminate these and then hole punch every inch or so.
Reading Chicka Chicka Boom Boom and putting up our Letter I on our alphabet tree!
Foam Letter Builders: I cut the shapes from foam and let her use them to make the letters. You could also use my Magnetic Letter Builders as well!
Letter Collage Worksheets: The download includes letters A-Z as well as a collage idea sheet. We use the collage items as objects to decorate our letters for an alphabet book. We also color, paint, and stamp them. Since we use both upper and lowercase, I have provided both for you! Click here to download the Letter Collages:
