Happy 2026 friends! With the new year, comes a NEW Quilt-A-Long! The 2026 Sew With Me series is a beginner-friendly sampler quilt and cross stitch series. Each month, I will teach you how to make another beautiful quilt block for our sampler quilt. At the end of our sew-a-long I’ll show you how to put them all together and finish your quilt!
Join me here and on YouTube on the 2nd Thursday of each month, as I teach you how to make this adorable quilt and cross stitch piece! And don’t forget to join our Sew With Me Facebook group where you can share your progress pics and see what others are making as well!
Throughout this series, I hope to teach you some new skills, tips, and tricks, and at the end of the series, we will have a fun selection of blocks to sew together into a sampler quilt! I have a special layout for this year’s sew-a-long, and I hope you love it as much as I do!
The blocks will release on the 2nd Thursday of each month. Each block will have a video tutorial and free PDF download. I will be adding the PDF downloads to this blog post (see below for downloads) as they are released, so make sure to come back here each month to get the new download!
In the Sew With Me Kickoff Video, I will be covering supplies, the Block #1 video tutorial, as well as sewing the sashing and corner stones. I love making the sashing, borders, and cornerstones first. It’s nice to have it all done when we are ready to assemble our quilt! I’ll also be sharing my stitchy progress as well.

This year’s quilty blocks are the 12″ version of the stars in my Candy Cane Lane Quilt and Candy Cane Lane Ornaments. Since it’s not a surprise, I’m going to release the full pattern right now! The paid version always includes bonus patterns (table runner and pillow) and this year it also includes a second finishing option too! And you can always sew along with the FREE version as they release each month if you prefer.

We’re doing a cute cross stitch to go along with our Sew With Me series this year too! I’m going to do a SAL format, so we will be releasing the blocks in the same order as the quilty version. Today, I am releasing the Border, finishing information and chart for Block #1. The Stitchy blocks will release on the 2nd Thursday of the month as well!
