Day 8: Love is not jealous
love is as strong as death, its jealousy unyielding as the grave. It burns like blazing fire, like a mighty flame. Song of Solomon 8:6
Determine to become your spouse’s biggest fan and to reject any thoughts of jealousy. To help you set your heart on your spouse and focus on their achievements, take yesterday’s list of negative attributes and discreetly burn it. Then share with your spouse how glad you are about a success he or she recently enjoyed.
The Love Dare is a 40-day challenge for husbands and wives to understand and practice unconditional love. You can do it as a couple, or if your marriage is in trouble, do it as an individual, for your marriage, out of obedience to Christ. Each day has a challenging lesson on love, followed by a ‘dare’ for the day, and space to journal how it went. For more information visit Fireproof My Marriage
I would ask for you all to pray for us as we embark on this journey, and let me know if I can pray for you as well. Click here to start from Day 1!
If you’re participating in The Love Dare, I would love to hear from you! Add your link to our McLinky so we can all pray for each other!
I think it's awesome that you are doing the Love Dare and encouraging others to join you! I bought the book when the movie came out and started it but got sidetracked and didn't finish…maybe that will be my thing to start for February! Good luck!!!
This is so great! I loved the movie, but have not read the book, so it is nice to read these updates here. I may have to give the challenge a try!Your green chili and tortillas look amazing!
My hubby and I got the movie & book for Christmas! So neat to see your challenge!
