Here is another addition to the K4 curriculum that I’m working on. They are Beginning Consonant Sounds identification worksheets.

Have your student look at the letter in the beginning of the row. Say the names of all the pictures in that row then circle the ones that begin with the same consonant sound as the letter at the front of that row.

These activities are part of my K4 level expansion to my Letter of the Week Curriculum, click on the images below to see more activities. The K4 curriculum isn’t quite finished yet, so until I get it packaged all nice and purdy you can download from my posts!

  1. MICHELE: The LOTW does NOT include the K4 expansion stuff, I’m not done making it all yet, so haven’t packaged it up all nice :o)If you download individually you’ll get most of the stuff from the LOTW purchased curriclum, however it does NOT include lesson plans, shapes/colors flashcards, Spanish cards, weather, calendar stuff, assessments etc. so you do get a few extra fun things if you purchase, but whatever works better for you!

  2. Hi,these worksheets gave me an idea for another type of activity. Since you are always so generous I wanted to share it with you: is also about beggining consonants but instead of circling the letter the child has to write it. I made a table in word (3 columns 4 rows) inserted a picture and then draw a short line to write the letter below it. My son knows how to write most of the letters but not all so I added at the top the 12 letters to be used in random order. He tried it this morning and liked so much he asked for another (fortunately I did two sheets). I think is a good idea for you to try with your nice figures. If I wasn't very clear I can send you the word file, but it is for spanish learners.Regards,Marisa
