I adopted a medically fragile baby 5 years ago. He was a drug baby with extreme short gut syndrome. The state wanted to institutionalize him because of the amount of work and medical problems he has. When I heard that, I thought, that is no life for a kid. His life expectancy was two years. He is now five and doing pretty well, except that he is hospitalized about 50% of the time and so homeschooling was the best way for us. I have already raised my other 4 children. They range in age from 17 to 28. This little boy that we have adopted has stolen our hearts and has brought such a different spirit to our home. My 17 year old son says he is the greatest thing that has ever happened to us. He is right. I studied early childhood education as a college student but I am jumping into this not really knowing how to begin but I’m sure the ride will be fascinating! Love your Blog!
A gift certificate to help purchase curriculum would be very helpful.

I’d love to win so I can order curriculum for next year!
