For my quilt front I used a mix of fabrics from the Mistletoe Lane fabric by Bunny Hill Lane for Moda. This line is actually out of print, but this quilt is sooo cute in Overnight Delivery I think I’m going to be making a second one!
For the backside I used the white snowflake print from Sweetwater’s Cookie Exchange fabric.
I also love a fun and festive red binding don’t you?!
And since it’s only July, you still have time to get this made in time for Christmas! Double Yay!

Is there a mistake in the pattern? I’m working with pieces L and 3 for the trunk of the tree in the back of the truck. Both pieces are 1.5” square. From the pictures in the pattern piece 3 should be larger. Please clarify. Thanks!
Hi Mary, there is not a mistake in the pattern, I’ll send an email to explain it better. But make sure you look at the pictures showing you how to sew the pieces together.
Erica, you recently responded to my comment question regarding your vintage truck and fall quilts being pieced or applique. Thank you. I was glad to hear that it is all pieced.
Additionally, have you any plans or thoughts on making a vintage firetruck quilt pattern…for all those “kids” that want a fireman/firewomen? Maybe you could adapt the truck quilt accordingly? Thanks for the consideration. 🙂

Hi, When I first saw this pattern, I thought how cute. I’m almost done with putting together the Vintage Christmas quilt pattern and I have discovered an error. In the final pictures of “Assemble Quilt Center” the piece of fabric “J” is missing from the final illustrations. Yes, it shows it on the cutting instruction page and again at step 32. However, in the final assemble it does not show this piece it in the final illustrations. As I was looking at these pictures and placing my 1st truck next to the trees, I couldn’t figure out why the large tree was 3.5″ higher. I had to go back to each step to find the “J” piece missing from these. I had cut this piece, but hadn’t sewn it to the top of the truck yet. Maybe you could redo your illustration for future printing of this pattern. It is very misleading. Also, I would love to see instructions where you talk about cutting a strip of largest width, then subcutting down to get the most out of that strip and not waste much. I was able to do this and save much of what was required. Just thought for ease of use.
Oh dear, yes, I see what you mean. Thanks for letting me know, I’ll update the graphic in the pattern! It does indicate to sew piece J to the top of the truck in step 32. As long as you sew J to the top of your truck before assembling the rows you should be good to go. Thanks for the feedback!
