We made some decorative necklaces using paper plates. I think a beaded activity might be more fun here though, these were a little too easy!

We learned about 6 animals found in Kenya, and if you haven’t noticed, my kids seem to be getting wilder and wilder as we go through these.

My preschooler actually did a little handwriting on the animal cards this week, but typically she just colors the cover and cuts them out.

  1. Hi Erica, I am going to begin using EE sometime this summer. I noticed that you reference reading in Usborne Encyclopedia of World Geography several times. In your opinion is this a book that is worth investing in? I am attempting to get a budget together for my hubs, and am wondering if I should include this book too. Thanks!

  3. Breeannvillarreal: Yes, it's a great resource, lots of cool internet links too!

  4. Ok, Erica, this is totally off topic question. I noticed your daughters Keepers of the Home shirt. I'm thinking of starting a Keepers group next fall. How do you like it? Also, I've been getting everything ready for us to use Expedition Earth next year…SO excited!

  5. Kristen: We LOVE Keepers! My daughter loves that she gets to do something special with mom and her friends every month and I love that it's fairly easy to plan for! If you want more details on how we plan and organize ours email me at homeschoolerconfessions@gmail.com and I'll be happy to tell you more info!

  6. Found your site through a friend on Pinterest! I am a teacher. What great information! I especially loved this Kenya study since I taught there for several years. How fun!
