3rd Grade Sight Word Sentences

Hi teachers! Are you looking for a fun way to have your 3rd grade students practice their sight words? Look no further! I’ve had a ton of requests for some more of my sight word sentences, so today I’m sharing the 3rd grade sight word sentence printables with you.   Each worksheet has the sight word along with a funny sentence. Students will practice tracing the word, reading the word several times, then writing it on their own. They will also fill in a sentence using the word as well as practice reading the sentence. The repetition along with the variety of activities really helps students remember their sight words. This download includes 41 3rd … [Read more...]

What’s in the Box Wednesday: Third Grade

Hi lovely readers! Today I’m back with another What’s in the Box Wednesday post. Today I’m sharing Turbo’s third grade workbox contents for you all. In their first box, each of my kiddos has an Expanding Acrylic Drawer Organizer with all of the supplies they’ll need. This keeps them from getting up a thousand times during class to get something! Turbo also has his Daily Learning Notebook which is how he starts each morning. They are all used to this now and do it independently.   In his next box we have our favorite spelling, All About Spelling, and he also has a journal stick in the back of the drawer. I have him write in there on Friday’s, right now it’s nothing formal, he’s aloud to write whatever he wants, and if he needs a prompt I’ll help give him a topic.   His next box has his Math U See blocks, workbook, worksheets, and DVD. I also have some 5 minute math drill worksheets in there. He does one per day to help keep his math facts fresh.   Next up is … [Read more...]

Good morning to all of you totally terrific third grade teachers! As promised last week, today I’m sharing some very cute and fun Third Grade Sight Word Caterpillar cards with you!   --> Download the Third Grade Sight Word Caterpillar <-- How to use the caterpillar sight words: Print pages 3-6 on cardstock and laminate for durability if you choose. Page 7 includes blank caterpillar pieces so you can add your own words! TIP: Laminate two sheets back to back so the printed sides are facing out, and the blank sides are touching. Run both sheets through your lamination machine, then cut apart and cut out circles. This will create a circle that is laminated on one side, but not on the back side. This helps with creating a backside that is not slippery and can be taped to the wall. Add the caterpillar head to a blank area of your wall where you plan to add the caterpillar sight word cards. Add each new caterpillar sight word body part to your wall as you learn … [Read more...]
