It’s time for the July House of the Month series! Last year we did an adorable Truck of the Month series, and I thought it would be fun to do a Quilty House of the Month this year! Each month will feature a cute house design including a seasonal quilt!
I will be releasing the patterns on the 15th of each month so you have some time to get started before the new month arrives. The individual house blocks will be available in PDF format. Once they are all released I will bundle them together in PDF and PRINT formats!
These mini-quilts finish at 20″ x 24″ and are perfect for beginners and seasoned quilters alike!

I love your YouTube channel, and watch it all the time. I do have one question: I am making your Stars and Stripes quilt, but wanted to know if I should prewash the reds. I’m pretty nervous about the red color running if I wash it. What do you think?
Also, do you still love your Juki TL2000Q? I am looking for a new machine and am torn between that one and the TL2010Q, and the Brother PQ1500SL (which to me is the same as the Babylock Accomplish). Just wondering your thoughts?

Hi! I don’t pre-wash my fabrics for quilting. But I DO use a color-catcher or two when washing the first couple of times. If you starch your fabric that should help as well. And YES! I still love my Juki TL2000. I didn’t think it was worth the extra cost for the TL2010, the only difference is the speed control. I haven’t used the Brother machine you mention so I can’t speak on that, but I would definitely buy my Juki again!
