Welcome to Preschool Kicked Up A Notch! BAM!

As we’re going through the Letter of the Week activities, I wanted to add in some more handwriting now that we’ve done all the pre-writing practice, and here they are for you too!

Download the A-Z Handwriting Worksheets

Each sheet contains some pre-writing practice for the letter along with capital and lowercase writing practice.

The download contains pages for the letters I have more than one subject selection for as well.

These activities are part of my K4 level expansion to my Letter of the Week Curriculum, click on the images below to see more activities. The K4 curriculum isn’t quite finished yet, so until I get it packaged all nice and purdy you can download from my posts!

      1. Wow! I was amazed to see your surname!!!
That was my nee name, and I have never met another family ever with the same surname.- Sorry just couldn’t resist commenting 🙂

      1. As a school based OT, I feel that lower case d should start with what we call, “magic c,” as does a, g, and q in the Handwriting Without Tears writing program. Similarly, Fontas and Pinnel (sp?) Verbal Pathways would start those same letters the same way with, “pull back,” making a little c.
Grouping letters with similar sequences makes them easier to learn and reduces reversals.
There are many ways to teach letter and number formation; being consistent, using a multisensory approach, doing brief daily practice (10 min.), and making it fun are essential.
I use and love these sheets. Thank you all for sharing such great ideas.

  1. Thank You! I'll continue to be curious if you decide to add other things to raise it up a notch — my daughter is in that end between stage so I'll be looking out for more posts if you add other things. Again thank you!
