Hello awesome readers. Today I come to you with a cry for support.

Thank you to so many of you who supported last week’s blog post about honoring copyright.

Unfortunately, this action ruffled some feathers of one of the Facebook groups in question. They’ve chosen to have their members report my Confessions of a Homeschooler Facebook account as abusive and Facebook has disabled my account in response.

PLEASE HELP!

Today I come to you with a cry for support to have my account reinstated. I don’t know if it will work or not, but I’m hoping if we flood Facebook with requests they may take notice. I’m currently trying to appeal to Facebook to get the account reinstated and would appreciate any support you are comfortable giving!

If you feel led to support my cause, please use hashtag:

#WeLoveCoah

Feel free to copy and paste any of the tweet/FB posts below, or create your own!

Please Reinstate http://www.facebook.com/ConfessionsofaHomeschooler for www.confessionsofahomeschooler.com @ericahomeschool #WeLoveCoah

Feel free too share links to your favorite COAH printables with your followers too! Any support is appreciated!

THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart for all of your support, I am so blessed to see so many people already standing up for what is right as well as helping to petition for my Facebook page already!

P.S. Make sure to check in tomorrow, I have a fun freebie for everyone!

  1. Erica,
I totally support you in every way and do not agree at all that your fb page was taken down but maybe this door closed so another door God wants open….I personally have not been on FB that much because of stuff like this…So I have gone over to Google + and it is a lot better than FB. Plus if I was you go and create a new facebook…..There is always ways around FB….

  2. Perhaps these things happen because it allows us to take a hard look at what is happening on FB. Perhaps God wants you to reevaluate time suckers….you are probably losing sleep over this and you are probably having a hard time pushing this to the back of your mind. You are a hard worker and you have blessed many of us that follow your website. Is FB truly the body of your ministry or could it be added to the list of “time suckers” that should be let go? They suck time from what really matters the most…God and His calling on our lives. Blessings, Ally

  3. In the land of the internet and, more specifically, Facebook, we see that there is no such thing as the First Amendment complete with Freedom of Speech. I have recently been blocked by Facebook and not allowed to post to any pages for similar reasons. Public policing is never good policy as it upholds collectivist ideals. That being said, I have to agree with Allison (comment #73). There’s so much more to life than Facebook fools us into.

  4. Erica,
So wonderful to see and read all of the support! I am new to your blog and since mid school year 12-13 I have been following you. Started off as just a place for me to get some amazing ideas for my amazing five kiddos 🙂 and now I am tackling this coming school year as a homeschool mom for a preschooler, pre-k, and 4th grader!! (the other two will remain in public school for now)
I was confused at first reading the post about copyright, but knew it was just a friendly reminder to all to be honest. Sad to see the retaliation, however, I know you will be back “on” before you know it. Don’t be disheartened, this to shall pass…. And it will only serve to make you stronger and wiser for the future with your blog, FB page, followers, family and more!
See you on soon. Prayers for a peaceful mind during this fun time…

  5. I am not sure if this will help…the people behind the scenes don’t even know what they are doing. Erica our family has been down this road…PRAY AND FIGHT. that’s the only thing that helped us. It will work out I know it will. Sometimes I really do hate cyber space.

  6. Erica,

I have been following you for several YEARS!! I just recently liked your FB page. Sooo, my point is that FB is not necessarily something you need to touch all of us out there. Yes, it does help. My husband owns a small business and we use it quite a bit. But, everything that I have ever read about you and your wonderful tips, journey, etc. has been from your blog posting. Rest assured, you are supported by so many out there!! This will work out. Take care and keep up the great work.

  7. Trust God that he will direct FB moderators to see the truth and deal with it legally. Other than that, remember that FB isn’t your real online real estate, your blog is. Honestly, FB isn’t everything.

  8. Hi Erica,
I just stopped in to tell you that I was linking to your site in my new blog’s “Educational” section. So sorry to see the hassles you’re having with FB. This must be quite stressful for you – but it’s nice to see you have so many loyal followers.
Thanks for the lovely blogplanner – I downloaded one for myself and one is for my daughter.
    Best wishes.
    Kathy.

  9. I have prayed long and hard about Facebook over the last few months and this action has solidified my decision to permanently delete my account. I have had your blog bookmarked for over 2 years now and FB has become a bitter place where I am constantly left flabbergasted by the actions of people and the company itself. While I feel this is an incredibly unjust thing to happen to you, I agree with everyone else that your blog is your ministry and we all check it daily….or at least I do (even the fun nail polish one!!!!) Blessing to you.

    Heather
