1st Grade Homeschool Workload

Hey guys! I have another fun “What’s in the Workbox” post for you today. I have posted my 1st grade curriculum before, but I had requests for a  video like I made for our other grade levels. So let’s take a peek into her workboxes to see what she’s got going on this year! Just to recap, Miss Lady Bug is in 1st grade this year. Her schedule is a little bit full because I couldn’t decide between a couple of things so I’m making her do it all. But so far she’s handling it well. The only thing I’ve officially removed from her list is typing. She just isn’t ready for it, though she loves to do it and begs me constantly. Click here to see my 1st Grade Homeschool Workload video!   And that’s all that is in her daily workbox drawers. Here are a few of the things we do that aren’t stored in her boxes: History: The Renaissance & Reformation (We do this as a group, and I give handouts for it so they’re not in the workboxes.) Art: Combo of World’s Greatest Artists 2 , … [Read more...]

7th Grade Homeschool Workload

Hey guys! I’m back today with another What’s in the Workbox? video for you all! Today we’re taking a look into my 7th grader’s daily homeschool workboxes.   It’s crazy to think that I have a 7th grader, but here we are in Jr. High already! I’ve been homeschooling her for 8 years an that just seems crazy to me! Anyhoo…let’s take a closer look to see what her day looks like, and how she goes about her daily assignments. She is mostly independent in her work now. I still help teach her English as well as our group subjects. But otherwise she’s doing well working on her own. And she likes to get a head start in the morning so that she can finish early and be done with school for the day. Click here to see our 7th grade daily homeschool workload video!   For those of you who prefer photos and links feel free to keep reading! Drawer 1 In her first drawer we keep her expandable drawer organizer which holds her basic school supplies, as well as her … [Read more...]

6th Grade Homeschool Workload

Hello fellow homeschoolers! Today I have a fun video showing you what my 6th grader’s day looks like. We’re taking a closer peek into his workbox drawers to see what he does all day long. The only thing not shown in the drawers is his affinity for procrastination. And a few group subjects that I’ll mention at the bottom of this post too! So let’s take a closer look into my 6th grader’s homeschool workload each day!       For those of you who don’t like videos, here are some pics and links to all of the products for you! Drawer 1 His first drawer contains our expandable drawer organizer from The Container store along with all of his basic supplies like pencils, pens, erasers, glue, etc. It also has his daily assignment spiral which tells him exactly what he has to do each day. He just crosses each item off as it is completed. It also has his Word of Life Challenger Quiet Time devotion which he does daily. They’re nice short devotions … [Read more...]

1st Grade Homeschool Workload

Hey guys! Okay, since we just started a new school year, I thought it was high time for a “What’s in the Workbox” post. It’s been a little bit since I’ve done one of these, and I also haven’t had a 1st grader for a while either. DRAWER 1 Here is her first drawer. Inside you’ll find her Daily Learning Notebook She’ll be using the Elementary level manuscript version. As well as our Word of Life Challenger Quiet Time devotion, and our Linus expandable drawer divider from the Container Store. It has pencils, glue sticks, erasers, sticky tabs, … [Read more...]

What’s in the Workbox Wednesday: Kindergarten

Hi everyone! I hope you’re enjoying my What’s in the Workbox Wednesday series. Today we’re taking a peek into the Teeny Tot’s kindergarten workboxes. Right now it takes her about 2 hours to complete her work each day. Some days take a little bit longer because she sits in with us for Science and history. And no, I don’t make her do any written work or tests for those, she just listens in and does crafts with us whenever possible.   Drawer #1: Supplies, Daily Schedule, & Bible 1) Like everyone else, her top drawer houses our expandable drawer organizer and it holds all of the pencils, glue, erasers, scissors, and things she uses on a daily basis. It hangs on the drawer sides, so it can slide back and forth out of the way which is a nice feature. It also expands/contracts to fit most drawer sizes. 2) This drawer also holds our Picture Smart Bible student notebook, which is going great so far. This curriculum is great for elementary aged students. but we do this … [Read more...]

Hi everyone! It’s time for a new 5th grade What’s in the Workbox Wednesday post! For those of you who missed it, you can check out my 2014 Curriculum post to see more details. Today we’re taking a quick look at Turbo’s workboxes today, and as I said above he’s a 5th grader this year.  And I don’t like it. I want him to stop growing up right now. At least he’s promised to stay with me forever. For now anyway…   Drawer #1: Supplies, Daily Schedule, & Bible  1) Like everyone, his top drawer houses our expandable drawer organizer and it holds all of the pencils, glue, erasers, scissors, and things he uses on a daily basis. What’s in the Workbox: 2nd Grade

Good morning! I have another What’s in the Workbox Wednesday post. Today we’re taking a look into TinkerBell’s boxes. She’s in 2nd grade this year and we haven’t made any changes to her work since our 2013-2014 curriculum post. So it’s been going well.     Drawer #1: 1) Just like the other’s, her top drawer houses our expandable drawer organizer and it holds all of the pencils, glue, erasers, etc. It hangs on the drawer sides, so it can slide back and forth out of the way which is a nice feature. It also expands/contracts to fit most drawer sizes. 2) This drawer also holds Apologia Who is God? student notebook, which we’re enjoying. This curriculum is great for elementary aged students. This is just the student journal, then I keep the teacher’s guide in my shelves. We do this as a group with our 2nd, 4th, and 5th grade kids. 3) It also has her weekly assignment printout. I get a lot of questions on this, and it’s just a report printout from … [Read more...]
