What’s in the Workbox Wednesday: Kindergarten

whatsinthebox_thumb.jpg

Hi everyone! I hope you’re enjoying my What’s in the Workbox Wednesday series. Today we’re taking a peek into the Teeny Tot’s kindergarten workboxes. Right now it takes her about 2 hours to complete her work each day. Some days take a little bit longer because she sits in with us for Science and history. And no, I don’t make her do any written work or tests for those, she just listens in and does crafts with us whenever possible.   Drawer #1: Supplies, Daily Schedule, & Bible 1) Like everyone else, her top drawer houses our expandable drawer organizer and it holds all of the pencils, glue, erasers, scissors, and things she uses on a daily basis. It hangs on the drawer sides, so it can slide back and forth out of the way which is a nice feature. It also expands/contracts to fit most drawer sizes. 2) This drawer also holds our Picture Smart Bible student notebook, which is going great so far. This curriculum is great for elementary aged students. but we do this … [Read more...]

workbox3rdgrade2.jpg

Good morning! I’ve been posting our workboxes again, and now it’s time for a 3rd grade What’s in the Workbox Wednesday post! For those of you who missed it, you can check out my 2014 Curriculum post to see more details. Today we’re taking a quick look at Tinker Bell’s workboxes today, and as I said above she’s a 3rd grader this year. What? When did that happen? I remember when she went in to 1st grade and I thought to myself…she’s waaaaay tooooo little to be going into 1st grade! Sigh…       Drawer #1: Supplies, Daily Schedule, & Bible 1) Like everyone else, her top drawer houses our expandable drawer organizer and it holds all of the pencils, glue, erasers, scissors, and things she uses on a daily basis. workbox5thgrade1.jpg

Hi everyone! It’s time for a new 5th grade What’s in the Workbox Wednesday post! For those of you who missed it, you can check out my 2014 Curriculum post to see more details. Today we’re taking a quick look at Turbo’s workboxes today, and as I said above he’s a 5th grader this year.  And I don’t like it. I want him to stop growing up right now. At least he’s promised to stay with me forever. For now anyway…   Drawer #1: Supplies, Daily Schedule, & Bible  1) Like everyone, his top drawer houses our expandable drawer organizer and it holds all of the pencils, glue, erasers, scissors, and things he uses on a daily basis. What’s in the Workbox: 2nd Grade

IMG_0865web.jpg

Good morning! I have another What’s in the Workbox Wednesday post. Today we’re taking a look into TinkerBell’s boxes. She’s in 2nd grade this year and we haven’t made any changes to her work since our 2013-2014 curriculum post. So it’s been going well.     Drawer #1: 1) Just like the other’s, her top drawer houses our expandable drawer organizer and it holds all of the pencils, glue, erasers, etc. It hangs on the drawer sides, so it can slide back and forth out of the way which is a nice feature. It also expands/contracts to fit most drawer sizes. 2) This drawer also holds Apologia Who is God? student notebook, which we’re enjoying. This curriculum is great for elementary aged students. This is just the student journal, then I keep the teacher’s guide in my shelves. We do this as a group with our 2nd, 4th, and 5th grade kids. 3) It also has her weekly assignment printout. I get a lot of questions on this, and it’s just a report printout from … [Read more...]

IMG_0860web.jpg

Hi everyone! I have another What’s in the Workbox Wednesday post. And today we’re taking a look into Turbo’s boxes. He’s in 4th grade this year for those of you just joining us! His boxes are very similar to Strawberry Shortcake’s boxes since they’re only 1 year apart.     Drawer #1: 1) As you’ve probably already seen, our top drawer houses our expandable drawer organizer and it holds all of the pencils, glue, erasers, etc. that Turbo needs on a daily basis. What’s in the Workbox: K4 Edition

IMG_0886web.jpg

Hi everyone! I have another What’s in the Workbox Wednesday posts for you today. The Teeny Tot is moving full on into my K4 Kindergarten program at this point and doing well. Here are some things she’s working on that you won’t see in her boxes. We do art as a group and we don’t do it everyday so I don’t usually put that in their work drawers. And we do Bible as a group as well. She even sits with us while we do science and history though I highly doubt she’s paying much attention ;o) Art: World’s Greatest Artists 2 and See the Light Art DVDs Preschool/K4: Letter of the Week & K4 Curriculum Bible: My first hands on bible & Grapevine Traceable Units P.E.: Family Time Fitness Other: Anything fun we’re doing that she wants to be a part of!   We’ll start in her first workbox. These are the Ikea Vika Alex Drawer units. Her first drawer has her supply caddy which is an Expanding Acrylic Drawer Organizer from the Container Store. It houses all of her … [Read more...]

What’s in the Workbox? 5th Grade

whatsinthebox.jpg

Hi everyone! It’s been awhile since I did a What’s in the Workbox Wednesday post, so I thought I might do another one for you today! I’m taking pictures of Strawberry Shortcakes boxes today for you. And I can’t believe it but she’s nearing the end of her 5th grade year! Ouch! (…Insert sad face here…)   Drawer #1: 1) As you’ve probably already seen, our top drawer houses our expandable drawer organizer and it holds all of the pencils, glue, erasers, lip gloss, etc. that a 5th grade girl needs on a daily basis. It hangs on the drawer sides, so it can slide back and forth out of the way which is a nice feature. What’s in the Workbox Wednesday: Preschool

IMG_9363web.jpg

Hi everyone! I have another What’s in the Workbox Wednesday posts for you today. The Teeny Tot is actually on Letter X this week (see yesterday’s post) but I took the pics for this post last week so they have letter W activities in them. The Teeny Tot is finishing up my Preschool letter of the Week. Then we’re probably going to go through it again with some K4 Kindergarten mixed in as she’s ready for it. She’s still four so I don’t want to do full Kindergarten with her just yet. So I’m going to slowly mix in K4 items as she’s ready. Here is the list of her activities for the year. As you can see I really only put our Bible, Daily Learning Notebook, and Letter activities. The rest we do as a group so I don’t keep them in her drawers. Art: World’s Greatest Artists 2 and See the Light Art DVDs Preschool: Letter of the Week & K4 Curriculum Bible: My first hands on bible & Grapevine Traceable Units P.E.: Family Time Fitness Other: Anything fun we’re doing that … [Read more...]
