This week we had the pleasure of reviewing the Grammar 500 Game from Educational Insights. Grammar 500 is a fun, educational game that covers 100 grammar, punctuation, and capitalization questions.

To play the game, each person reads the top card in their stack silently. Then they put a tire on the A, B, of C spot to choose their answer. Next, they can read their questions and check the back to see if they got it correct.  Then one of the players rolls the die, whoever got a correct answer gets to move their car ahead that many spots. Since my preschooler can’t read the cards just yet, we altered the game a little to fit our needs, but it was still fun.

We even let the Teeny Tot play, she had her own rules though…as in no rules…as in she moved her guy whenever she felt like it…she won.

The cards are kid-friendly, durable and easy to understand. Since it’s a simultaneous game, everyone stays engaged while playing. Grammar 500 is recommended for grades 2-5.

  1. Hi!
It would be a blessing to win this wonderful game! I do not remember all that I should from school, and am having a tough time teaching grammar and punctuation. Not to mention, finding a fun and/or interesting way to teach it to my 3 young sons. My boys learn best through hands on curriculum and games. This game would help out a lot, I think, and I am sure we would have a lot of funt along the way also. 🙂

Thanks so much for all your great offers and advice! Keep up the good work!

    Peace and blessings-Jess
