Hi everyone! I have a fun giveaway for you today, it’s the Letter Construction Activity Set from Learning Resources!
They’re similar to my magnetic Alphabet Builders, but these are sturdy plastic builders that have little pegs that keep the letters together. Along with instruction cards for each letter.
Of course Turbo knows all his letters by now, so he took it upon himself to fashion a sword out of them.
And Tinker Bell went for a boat.
Next Turbo built tail lights to a car. He held them behind his back and said they were his blinkers.
Poor Teeny Tot had to fight to get her letter construction kit back from the big kids.
Even Strawberry Shortcake tried to make some things. I don’t know if you can tell from the picture below but the Teeny Tot was none to happy to share these with anyone!
All that to say…they’ve been a huge hit in our house! The only complaint I have is the little pegs can also be hard to take apart if they stack several of the same shape together. Other than that they work great, and thanks to my creative kids, I also realized they could be used to build many other things than just letters!
Win it!

I’m still laughing at “blinkers” !!!
These would be great for a number of reasons; simple enough all my littles could use them, interesting visually to hold their attention better, easier to store than wooden versions, less likely to cause damage than wooden versions when inevitably use as a weapon in our weaker moments….
And we don’t have a hands-on letter formation accessory yet.
Fingers crossed!
This would be wonderful for my 3 and 4 year old!
What a cute story! I’m so excited that my daughters are planning to homeschool their little ones, and are beginning now at Teeny Tots age. Grandma will get to help a lot with the homeschooling — and I can’t wait. This looks like a great “activity” to add to our stash, as I didn’t start until first grade, and need to have more learning activities around. Thanks for your blog – I love it!
Subscribe to your emails . . . Love seeing what your teeny tot is up to! Helps with ideas for keeping my little guy busy and not zoning out in front of the tv!
I subscribe via email.
My son would love to use these to continue to learn the alphabet and create other things as well.
