Hi everyone, I have a fun new knitting pattern to share with you today! I’m calling this one The Slouchy Soho Beanie.

This hat features very easy knit stitches and so it’s perfect for a beginner! Oh, and we can’t forget to add a fluffy faux fur pom on top!

This pattern is extremely easy and beginner friendly for sure! But you will need to know the basics of how to knit and purl.

I also used a Tubular Cast ON for this project which gives the brim that nice rounded look. You can’t see the cast on stitches with this method, the stitches appear to must melt around to the other side and I love it!

Of course you’re welcome to use whatever cast on method you prefer, but if you’re up for trying something new, check out this wonderful Tubular Cast On tutorial by Andrea Mowry.

The pattern calls for a bulky weight yarn, but I held two strands of worsted weight together to give it the same soft and squishy look.

Isn’t this faux fur pom lovely? It has darker tips on the soft natural color which make it extra special! I got this pom from Colorful Yarns Knit Shop which is my local yarn shop. They have a huge selection of fun poms!
