DIY: Valentine’s Day Candy Box

  SUPPLIES: Paper Mache boxes (I Found this set of 3 from Michael’s Craft Store) Elmer’s Glue Fun colored duct tape Red or pink felt sheet Scissors Valentine’s stickers & other embellishments  you like     And here are some more goodies we found…   STEP 1: Trace the top of your box onto a piece of felt, then cut it out and glue it to the top of your box.   STEP 2: Time to decorate! Because we found some transparent polka-dot tape I quickly painted the box white using some spray paint. I just didn’t want the brown box showing through my cute polka-dots!   Next we finished decorating our boxes with duct tape, heart stickers, some fun washi-tape, and whatever other embellishments my kiddos managed to scrounge up.   STEP 3: Time to make it sweet! DIY Valentine Candy Jar Gift

Hi everyone! Well, I can’t believe it’s February already, and that Valentine’s Day is just around the corner! This year I wanted to do some fun activities with my kiddos, as well as create some great DIY Valentine’s gifts for friends and family!   Today we’re going to be making these super cute little DIY Valentine’s Day Candy Jars. What you need: Candy of your choice Small empty jars (I used some tiny jam jars, but you can use anything you have on hand. Baby food jars are great for this!) Some fabric scraps (preferably Valentine colors) Optional: Washi Tape and labels   Not only are they super cute, but they’re also easy and fairly inexpensive to make!     Directions: First you’ll want to fill your jar with your favorite candy. DIY: Paper Roll Valentine’s

  Hello everyone! I hope you’ve enjoyed the past few days of Valentine’s Craft ideas and recipes! Today I have a really cute craft to share with you, and even better, they’re recycled! Drum roll please… Introducing Paper Roll Valentines!   SUPPLIES: Toilet paper rolls or paper towel rolls cut in half red or pink paint, or colorful scrapbook paper foam valentine hearts, stickers, etc. googley eyes or foam eye stickers (Michael’s Crafts) Elmer’s glue   DIRECTIONS: First paint your rolls with some red or pink paint then let them dry. You can also use colorful scrapbooking paper to cover them as well. Just cut it to the right height, then glue the paper to the roll and let dry. Next we went crazy decorating them. Valentine’s Day Ice Cream Floats!

Good morning everyone! We’re just getting crazy over here with Valentine’s Day fun! And today I have a yummy treat to share with you all! They’re pink. They’re fizzy. And they’re yummy! They’re Valentine’s Day Ice Cream Floats!   You will need: Ice cream – I suggest vanilla ice cream, strawberry ice cream or raspberry sherbet! Soda – I suggest Cherry 7-up, or any other red soda you prefer Optional: Whipped Cream, sprinkles, and fun Valentine’s Day straws!   We found the cute heart straws at Michael’s craft store, the rest was purchased at our local grocery store.   STEP 1: Okay, so to start off with, put a few scoops of your favorite white or pink ice cream into a fun glass!   STEP 2: Now carefully fill up your glass with your soda…go slowly or you’ll have an overflow sticky mess on your hands!   STEP 3: Finally add some whipped cream, and top it off with festive sprinkles and a cute … [Read more...]

DIY: Valentine’s Heart Craft Tutorial

Good morning readers! I’m back with some more fun Valentine’s day activities for you! Today Strawberry Shortcake is doing a Valentine’s Day Heart craft for you! We found this super cute polka dot shipping tape at Michael’s craft store. It’s so fun because any color you put it over will show through the dots!   Here’s the Teeny Tot hard at work. The button/glue combination is very dangerous. So you need protective eye-wear incase it accidentally flies in your eyeball.   And here is her finished project. She decorated hers with some heart stickers, and more pink duct tape.   And here is the finished project! It’s super cute and easy way to add a little Valentine’s Décor to any room! Valentine’s Day Popcorn Recipe!

  Good morning readers! Today I have a great Valentine’s Day gift idea and party recipe for you! Today we’re making some Valentine’s Day popcorn! And truth be told, I make a version of this holiday popcorn at Christmas as well, just with a different color scheme ;o) YOU WILL NEED: Popcorn: I use microwave popcorn, but you can use whatever you prefer. (Sometimes I get crazy and use kettle corn, yay baby!) Pink and red candy melts Some Valentine’s Day M&Ms or other candies you prefer Optional: Gift bags (I found our cute boxes at Michael’s Craft Store)     Step 1: Start off by popping your popcorn, then spreading it out over some waxed paper.   Step 2: Next melt your candy melts in a glass container. I melted mine in the microwave. Check and stir the candies every 30 seconds until it is nice and smooth.   Step 3: Next drizzle your pink mixture on to the popcorn using a spoon. Nutella Brownie Recipe

  You will need: 1/2  c. sugar 1/3 c butter 1 tsp. vanilla 2 eggs 1 c. Nutella 3/4 c. flour 8x8 baking dish     STEP 1: Start off by creaming the butter and sugar together in a mixer.   STEP 2: Add your eggs and mix well.   STEP 3: Next add in your vanilla.   STEP 4: And of course don’t forget to add in the Nutella!   STEP 5: Finally mix your flour in slowly. STEP 6: Place your brownie mix into a greased baking dish and bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for about 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean!   Yummy goodness is on the way people! STEP 7: Time to decorate! DIY Sharpie Mug Tutorial

Hi everyone! I’ve seen a ton of DIY Sharpie Mug tutorials all over the internet so I was dying to try it! I mean, seriously? Sharpie on a mug? Like that’s gonna last past the first wash. Whatev’s. But the rebel in me decided I would try it out for my self. And you know what? They worked! With one very important caveat… Check out our DIY Sharpie Mug Tutorial to see how to create these awesome personalized sharpie mugs for your BFFs this Valentine’s Day!   SUPPLIES: Plain white mugs ( I purchased these at Target, but you can find them all over.) DIY: Valentine’s Butterflies, Flowers, and Hearts

Hello awesome readers! As we continue on with our Valentine’s Day Ideas, I have a super fun and inexpensive Valentine printable to share with you!   Today we’re working on Valentine’s for our co-op friends and we’ve decided to go with some homemade Valentine Butterflies, Valentine Flowers, and Valentine Heart Pencil (or Straw) toppers.   DIY: VALENTINE BUTTERFLIES: These guys are super cute and easy to make. First we purchased some Valentine suckers, and then printed out our own cute little butterflies to attach them to!   Just print out these cute little butterflies on colorful cardstock, make slits for the suckers, and voila! You have an easy DIY Valentine your kiddos can make!   You can also print them on white cardstock, then color them as desired! Oh, and don’t forget the glitter.
